Drumsticks with Peach and Honey

Ingredients

2 teaspoons margarine
1 teaspoon minced garlic
10 chicken drumsticks
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon margarine
5 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons soy sauce
½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup water
½ onion, sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
1 peach, peeled and sliced

Directions

Heat 2 teaspoons of margarine in a large skillet over medium-low heat, then add the garlic and cook for a minute or two until the garlic is soft
Season the chicken with salt and pepper and add to the pan; cook until the chicken is brown on all sides. When the drumsticks are brown, remove and set them aside
Melt one teaspoon of the remaining margarine in a pan, and fry the chopped onion in it until the onion is soft
Then add honey, soy sauce, ginger, and 1 cup of water
Return the drumsticks to the pan and bring them to a boil over high heat
Reduce heat to medium and low, place lemon slices on the surface of the drumsticks and cover with a lid, then cook for 15 minutes
After cooking the drumsticks, transfer them to a serving dish
Dissolve cornstarch in 2 teaspoons of water and stir in boiling sauce
Add the peaches and cook until the sauce thickens
Pour the sauce over the drumsticks while serving
